Emily currently works at Meredith Corp. as the Managing Editor of Proto Magazine and Millie. She generates story ideas, assigns and edits stories, manages a diverse network of writers, oversees fact checking, copy editing and magazine production, and manages multiple social media platforms. After receiving her MS from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, she held editorial positions at Psychology Today and Audubon Magazine before joining Time Inc. (which is now Meredith). In her spare time, she writes freelance articles related to science, the environment, and health. In her journalistic pursuits she has camped out near the Hubbard Glacier, slashed through rain forests with a machete, and waded through ice floes to get her story!
